"In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer" - Albert Camus

Biography

I completed my Ph.D. and M.Tech (Research) in Bioengineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in 2022. After graduating from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut in Electronics and Communication Engineering, I worked with Nvidia Graphics and Bharat Electronics Limited before starting my graduate studies at IISc. I am currently working as an R&D engineer at imec, Belgium.

My multiple roles in the industry and the interdisciplinary nature of my doctoral research have given me unique exposure and expertise in diverse fields such as VLSI design, defense electronics, product engineering, biomedical system development, and instrumentation. In my current role, I develop system engineering and instrumentation solutions for biomedical applications centered around core imec semiconductor technology.

I am a recipient of the Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Award (GYTI) in 2020, completing a project focused on developing label-free solutions for breast cancer diagnosis. This was also my doctoral thesis work. I am also the recipient of the AWSAR award for popular science writing from the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

My research interest lies in developing novel label-free technologies for clinical diagnostics by following a systems thinking approach combining state-of-the-art electronics with real-time computing with sensor technology as the core element.

I am also passionate about learning and developing pedagogies to effectively communicate complex engineering concepts and research methodologies using first principles.
